Cost & budgeting
Real 2026 price ranges for Piedmont Triad and Charlotte metro bathrooms.
- How much does a bathroom remodel cost in the Piedmont Triad or Charlotte NC?
- BathPeak full bathroom remodels commonly fall within a general investment range of $18,991 to $39,991 depending on scope, materials, layout changes, and site conditions. A hall bath with the same footprint, a new tub-shower, vanity, toilet, tile floor and lighting typically lands in the lower half of that range. A primary suite with a tiled walk-in shower, double vanity and upgraded fixtures runs toward the upper half. Moving plumbing walls, adding a window or building a curbless shower adds cost, which is included in your written quote. Every BathPeak quote is a written package price with the full scope of work before demo day.Full bathroom remodel →Greensboro remodel costs →Charlotte remodel costs →
- How much does it cost to convert a tub to a shower?
- BathPeak tub-to-shower conversions commonly fall within a general investment range of $8,991 to $14,991. Acrylic or solid-surface wall systems sit at the lower end of the band, full tile with a custom pan at the upper end. Cost drivers are the shower pan type, whether the drain has to be relocated (a drain relocation commonly falls within a general $1,000 to $3,500 range), glass (a fixed panel is cheaper than a full frameless enclosure) and any wall rot or old galvanized supply lines we find behind the tub.Tub-to-shower conversion →
- How much is a walk-in tub or walk-in shower installed?
- Walk-in tub installations commonly fall within a general $12,000 to $30,000 range, depending on the model, hydrotherapy features, door style and whether the electrical circuit or water heater can support it. If the tub needs a larger or new water heater, a replacement commonly falls within a general $2,200 to $4,000 range. BathPeak walk-in shower conversions commonly fall within a general $8,991 to $14,991 range. Your written quote lists exactly what's included. Permit requirements vary by project and jurisdiction.Walk-in tub & shower conversion →

- What is the cheapest way to update a small bathroom?
- Keep the plumbing where it is. Much of the cost variance in a small bathroom comes from moving the toilet flange, tub drain or vanity supply lines. Refinishing the existing layout with a new acrylic or tile surround, vanity, toilet, exhaust fan and LVP or tile floor usually lands in the $9,000–$13,000 range for a 5x8 hall bath.
- Does a bathroom remodel add value to a home in North Carolina?
- A well-designed bathroom remodel can improve functionality, appearance, and buyer appeal. BathPeak does not promise a specific financial return — how a remodel affects a sale depends on the home, the market and the buyer. Accessibility work — curbless showers, grab bars, comfort-height fixtures — is usually chosen for daily comfort and staying in the home longer rather than for resale.
Timeline & process
How long the work takes and what each day looks like.
- How long does a bathroom remodel take?
- Project duration depends on the scope, demolition, plumbing or electrical changes, materials, inspections, and site conditions. BathPeak provides a project-specific timeline before work begins. Installation is scheduled once materials are confirmed. How long a remodel takes →Our step-by-step process →
- Can a bathroom really be remodeled in one day?
- Not honestly. BathPeak does not sell a one-day promise, because tile, waterproofing membranes and mortar beds need real cure time. We would rather give you an honest, project-specific timeline than a one-day gimmick and leave you with a shower that fails in two years.
- What are the steps in a bathroom remodel?
- Four stages: (1) free in-home consultation — we measure, review the plumbing, design the bathroom, help you pick materials and present your written package price with the full scope of work at that same visit; (2) materials are ordered once you approve the price and your deposit is made or financing is approved, with installation scheduled once materials are confirmed; (3) installation — demo, rough plumbing and electrical, waterproofing, tile or acrylic, finish work, with daily cleanup; (4) final walkthrough on the day of completion, punch list and your written 1-year workmanship warranty. What to expect, step by step →Warranty coverage →
- Can I still live in my house during the remodel?
- Yes, in almost every case. Crews work standard daytime hours, protect floors and hallways with runners and plastic, and cleanup happens before they leave each day. If the house has only one bathroom, we sequence the work so the toilet is back in service overnight for most of the project and tell you up front which nights it will not be.
- Will my project need permits or inspections?
- Permit requirements vary by project and jurisdiction. BathPeak will explain any required permits or inspections during the project planning process.
Services & scope
What BathPeak installs, and which option fits which bathroom.
- What bathroom services does BathPeak offer?
- BathPeak does four things and does them full time: complete bathroom remodels, walk-in tub and walk-in shower conversions, tub-to-shower conversions, and accessibility and aging-in-place modifications. We do not do kitchens or whole-home additions — bathrooms are the whole business, which is why our crews move faster through them. All services →
- Walk-in tub or walk-in shower — which is better?
- Choose a walk-in shower if the user can stand or transfer to a bench, if more than one person uses the bathroom daily, or if broad appeal matters — showers are faster to use, cost less and suit more households. Choose a walk-in tub if soaking relieves arthritis or circulation issues and the user can sit through the 2–3 minute fill and drain cycle. Households with mixed needs often do best with a curbless shower plus a fold-down seat and handheld wand.Walk-in tub vs. walk-in shower →
- Can you make a bathroom safe for a senior or someone with limited mobility?
- Yes — that is a core part of our work. We install curbless and low-threshold showers, reinforced blocking and grab bars rated to 250+ lbs, slip-resistant flooring, comfort-height toilets, fold-down teak seating, handheld shower wands on slide bars, lever handles, wider door openings and improved task lighting. We build to ADA guidance where the room allows and design around the specific person's reach, transfer and turning radius.Accessibility & aging-in-place →
- Will Medicare, Medicaid or insurance pay for a walk-in tub or shower?
- Standard Medicare does not cover walk-in tubs or shower conversions, and homeowners insurance covers them only when the work stems from a covered loss such as a burst supply line. Some Medicare Advantage plans, NC Medicaid waiver programs and VA benefits (HISA grants, SAH/SHA grants) do help with medically necessary bathroom modifications. Bring us the program's documentation requirements and we will provide written documentation to match.
- What happens if you find rot or mold behind the tub?
- Hidden water damage behind tub surrounds is a common surprise in homes built before 1990. We stop, photograph it, and give you a written change order before continuing — no verbal upcharges. The repair is priced in that written change order, and we rebuild with cement board and a proper waterproofing membrane so it does not repeat.
- Do you use tile or acrylic shower systems?
- Both, and the right answer depends on the bathroom. Acrylic and solid-surface systems install faster, cost less, have no grout to scrub and carry long manufacturer warranties — ideal for conversions and rentals. Tile costs more and takes longer but allows custom sizes, niches, benches and curbless pans with linear drains. We show you both at the consultation with pricing side by side.

- Who is the best bathroom remodeling company near me in Greensboro or Charlotte?
- Look for three things before you sign anything: proof of general liability and workers' comp insurance, a written package quote with the full scope of work rather than a single lump-sum number, and a clear 1-year workmanship warranty. BathPeak carries business insurance (a certificate is available on request), manages every project as one accountable company, quotes in writing before demo, and backs the work with a written 1-year workmanship warranty. Ask any competitor the same three questions.Read customer reviews →
- Do you charge for estimates or travel?
- No. In-home consultations and written estimates are free anywhere in our four North Carolina service regions — the Piedmont Triad, Charlotte metro, the Gastonia/Lincolnton area and Stanly County — with no travel fee and no obligation. Most consultations take 60 to 90 minutes, and you leave with your design, your material selections and a written package price with the full scope of work rather than a callback promise.Book a free consultation →
Insurance, warranty & trust
The paperwork questions worth asking any contractor.
- Is BathPeak insured in North Carolina?
- Yes. BathPeak carries general liability and workers' compensation coverage Certificates of insurance are available on request before work begins.
- What kind of warranty do you provide?
- Every BathPeak project comes with a written 1-year workmanship warranty on our labor, plus the manufacturer warranties on materials — many acrylic and solid-surface wall systems carry limited lifetime coverage. The warranty document is handed over at the final walkthrough, not mailed later, and the full coverage breakdown and claim steps are on our warranty page.Warranty coverage & claims →
- Do you use subcontractors or your own crews?
- BathPeak manages every installation and is accountable for the work. Plumbing and electrical work that legally requires a licensed trade is handled by appropriately licensed professionals. Your scope, schedule and price are documented in writing so everyone works from the same plan.
- How does payment work — do you require money up front?
- Payments are milestone-based: a deposit to release the materials order, a progress payment at rough-in, and the balance only after the final walkthrough and punch list are complete. We never ask for the full amount up front, and every payment is tied to work you can see.Our process →
- What is BathPeak’s remodeling experience?
- BathPeak launched in 2026 as a dedicated bathroom remodeling company, building on the remodeling experience of Moustafa Property Maintenance & Renovation, established in 2022. Our install team carries more than 30 years of combined bathroom and remodeling experience. Homeowner reviews from both metros are on the reviews page.Reviews & ratings →
