What you need to prepare
A little preparation keeps your project on schedule and your home protected. Here is what we recommend before demo day.
Clear the bathroom and nearby path
Remove toiletries, towels, rugs and wall decor. Give crews a clear route from the entry to the work area.
Plan for water shut-offs
We will need to turn off water to the bathroom during demo and plumbing work. We coordinate timing so disruption is minimal.
Arrange pet and child safety
Keep pets in a separate room and let children know which areas are off-limits while tools and materials are active.
Reserve nearby parking
If possible, leave space close to your home for our work trailer and material deliveries.
Set a temporary bathroom plan
You will be without the guest bath for the duration of the project. We confirm a project-specific timeline with you before work begins.
Paying for your project
A bathroom remodel is an investment in your home and daily comfort. You receive one written package price with the full scope of work at your consultation, with payments tied to work you can see. Process FAQ
- How long does a typical bathroom remodel take from start to finish?
- Project duration depends on the scope, demolition, plumbing or electrical changes, materials, inspections, and site conditions. BathPeak provides a project-specific timeline before work begins. The full process from first call to final walkthrough also depends on material availability and scheduling.
- How disruptive is a bathroom remodel to daily life?
- Most homeowners find the disruption manageable. We protect floors, work during business hours, clean the job site daily and keep only one bath out of service at a time. For single-bath homes, we coordinate the schedule to minimize the days without a working bathroom.
- What happens if an issue comes up mid-project?
- Your project lead reviews any unexpected condition — such as hidden water damage or outdated plumbing — with you in person or by photo before proceeding. We provide a written change order with options and pricing, and we never move forward without your approval.
- Will my bathroom project need a permit?
- Permit requirements vary by project and jurisdiction. BathPeak will explain any required permits or inspections during the project planning process.
- Can I make changes after materials are ordered?
- Small changes may be possible before materials ship. Once custom-ordered items are in production, changes can cause delays and restocking fees. We lock selections with your signature to avoid surprises.
